Getting Disappointing Candlemaking Results?

Banish Candle Making Faults with this Troubleshooting Guide:

  • Air bubbles. Solve this annoying problem with a few temperature changes. Your candlemaking kitchen or workplace won't produce another bubble-ridden candle (unless the bubbles are intentional, and you want them to be a part of your candle).

  • Brittle wax. Add these special waxes to paraffin wax. More wax flexibity. More creative opportunities for you.

  • Candle mould release problems. You wait for hours for a candle to set, only to have it stick in the mould! Grrrr. Very easy to solve, though. Use these few simple tips next time, and your candles should come out easily.

  • Soft candles, that burn down too fast. No-one wants to spend hours making a candle and waiting for it to set. Only to have it burn down in ½ hour. With a forlorn wick sitting there in a pool of melted wax. Add these wax additives, and you'll be producing fabulously long-burning candles in no time at all.

  • Hand dipped taper faults. Simple candles. Multiple problems. Use these tips the next time you practise making hand dipped tapers. You should get dramatically improved results, over a period of time.

  • Leaking moulds. Learn how to seal your candle moulds properly, preventing wax spills on your working surfaces.

  • Paraffin wax flash points. Follow this temperature guide, to ensure your own safety, and that of your family and pets, when you make candles at home, or without the aid of temperature-controlled wax melting pots.

  • Smoking candles. These cause more wreckage than wax spills! An easy wick-size correction is all you need. And you (or your customers) won't have to clean candle smoke off walls or ceilings again.

Not a fault at all. Another creative way for you to make candles:
